Ben is a pragmatic capability builder with extensive experience over two decades in portfolio, program, and project management, as well as business analysis, and change management. He has worked with numerous, disparate, and diverse cultural teams throughout Australia, the UK, India, Hong Kong, and Japan. These roles comprised of permanent / full-time and contract consulting and non-consulting roles across the private sector within the pharmaceutical, hospitality, telecommunications, finance, defence, and recruitment industries.
He’s currently employed as a Partner in a consultancy and is the P3M Practice Lead across the capability areas of advisory / consulting / delivery, with services across PMO, Portfolio / Program / Project & Change Management, Business Analysis, Benefits Realisation Management, and Assurance (Risk & Governance).
He enjoys giving back to the profession via roles on the PMISC Board where he currently serves as President & CEO, and prior to this served as Professional Development Director for PMISC where he broadened the certification training offerings and re-established the Chapter Mentoring Program. He serves Academic Outreach sponsor nationally for PMI Chapters working with Universities, as well as the national PMI sponsor for Marketing & Communications.
Ben was the sponsor for the 2017 PMI Australia Conference held in Sydney where he was also the winner of the 2017 ‘Distinguished Contribution to PMI’ Award.
Ben also has a keen interest in military history and is a former four term President of the Military History Society of NSW and gave numerous public lectures in this capacity.
