Julia Checchia is a Certified PMP and PRINCE2 Practitioner. Throughout her career she has delivered multimillion dollars complex projects and has performed consulting, transition management, service delivery management, project management, and program management roles. She was awarded the 2010 Australia PMI Distinguished Contributor in Project Management and runner up in 2009. Her passion in project management has helped many businesses to achieve their objectives whether they were of a change, transitional or transformational nature. She helped over 200 people to prepare and obtain their PMP and CAPM certifications. Julia has delivered papers in global conferences and she is an alumni of the PMI LIMC 2008. Julia is a Project Management lecturer at UTS and has featured in the PM network promoting the importance of project management and importance of networking within communities aiming develop self, others and the project management career. In 2009, Julia was a mentor coach for 16 mentors within the PMI Sydney Chapter and a mentor within the FITT program. Julia was also mentor for IBM PMs seeking certification during her 12 years tenure at IBM. In 2010, as the PMI Sydney Chapter Events Director, Julia delivered 13 events including regional, Program Sponsor level and collaborative events with IIBA. Julia also provided sponsorship and leadership to the PMI Sydney Chapter School Outreach Program iPM4You pilot delivered to Pittwater High School in Mona Vale. Julia’s working and personal practices promote project management values and social contribution.
