Chapter Event - Mad About Projects-Evening

Chapter Event - Mad About Projects

Participate in this playful project management simulation based on the hit-TV show ‘Mad Men’ that combines team building and project management professional development. Teams will experience gamification first hand as they step into the highly competitive world of marketing from the 1960’s and compete to accompany Don Draper to the pitch to win a coveted client account.

Kestrel Stone, your game master for the evening, is an award winning project simulation designer and established trainer and consultant in the field of project management capability. She has over 10 years industry experience, is a Member NSW Chapter Councilor for the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) and founded Elemental Projects, a project management training consultancy, in 2012.

Kestrel designs project simulations to give participants a deeper understanding of project management that cannot be obtained from theoretical based learning alone. She advocates for the power of creating a ‘safe’ place in a game format where students can innovate, negotiate, problem solve and even ‘fail’ whilst being able to honestly reflect on performance and thereby learn from their experiences. Project simulations drive the development of hard and soft skills along with emotional intelligence and team productivity.

Project simulations have diverse application and are ideal for:

  • Learning about project management
  • Team Building
  • Launching a new project or change program.
