Join the PMI Sydney Chapter as we celebrate International Project Management (IPM) Day with this special executive event. Tony Eid, Executive Director, Future Network Delivery for Sydney Trains will be interviewed by Kate Morris to give us insights into the complexities and techniques for managing Mega Projects.
About your presenters:
Tony Eid’s career in railway spans 35 years covering all areas of signalling, operations, train control, train planning and incident management. He has held significant Mega Project positions, including the high-profile position of coordinating all rail operations in readiness for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
In 2011 Tony was seconded to Transport for London to assist with the planning of rail transport for the 2012 London Olympics. In 2012 Tony was appointed to the role of Director Operations at RailCorp then in July 2013 he was appointed to the same role with Sydney Trains.
February 2016, Tony Eid was appointed Executive Director, Future Network Delivery dedicated to overseeing the significant program of works needed to build the Sydney Trains network and cater for future rail growth and demand in NSW. Tony is accountable for the delivery of high priority projects including building a state of the art Rail Operations Centre, Sydney Metro integration, delivery of a 2018 Timetable and Digital Train Radio System implementation.
Kate Morris is a highly accomplished Program Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing both business and technical programs of work, currently Manager Project Advisory & assurance at Commonwealth Bank. Kate is well known in the project community, including as the PMI Sydney Chapter 2017 Conference Convener, and prior to that holding a variety of Director positions for PMI Sydney Chapter. Kate has facilitated previous PMI Sydney Chapter Panel Events, bringing knowledge, enthusiasm and energy, and we are delighted to welcome her again for this Event.
