About your Presenter:

Randy Black, Global Head at Project Management Institute and Chair, PMI Board of Directors 2016 - 2021.

Who is Randy Black?  He is visiting us in Sydney on 31 May 2019. Come and meet the Head of PMI

30 seconds with Randy, and you know right away that he is full of energy. The phrase he says more than anything is “thank you”. He’s an excellent speaker, genuinely appreciates meeting new people and hearing their stories. You will see him out on the dance floor at PMI functions.

Randy has been a volunteer with PMI for 12 years and has held various roles, most of which were directly linked with serving members directly through Chapters. In his earlier years, he volunteered with the YMCA, has held office in such diverse organizations as his Church Servers Guild, the University of Waterloo Alumni Association and with the PMI Northern Alberta Chapter.

Throughout his 40-year career, Randy has worked as consultant in a variety of industries including telecommunications, IT, e-learning development, project management training, and PMO management. He is owner and principal of Edutainer53 Consulting Limited, an Edmonton-based organization focused on project management and operations consulting and training.

A vibrant and colorful speaker, Randy has presented at PMI^® Leadership Institute Meetings, global conferences, regional meetings, and chapter meetings as well as international technical conferences on topics such as strategy, leadership, process re-engineering, people and personality, and project management.

Randy earned his B.A Sc. In Civil Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He holds certificates in Engineering Economics from Duke University, and Insights Personal Discovery^™ evaluation, a Professional Engineering (P. Eng.) designation registered in the Province of Alberta and has held his PMP^® designation since 2004.
