* Notice: As concerns about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to escalate, the club is doing everything we can to keep the meetings going in the future as well as minimise the risk for the health of attendees.
Thus, we are advising that meetings from 18th March forward are changed to an online meeting on Zoom until further notice. Also, apart from the already planned meetings every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, meetings will be held on every Wednesday of the month.
Meetup registration for the Zoom meetings is currently restricted to Toastmasters members or Project Management Institute (PMI) Sydney Chapter members only.

Women in Projects Social Networking
What we'll Do
We have a fantastic return speaker lined up for our July session, Parikshit Basrur, to speak on some key factors in project management, upcoming trends, and how you can leverage them best. PB, as we fondly call him, has something to share for everyone, new PM’s to Experienced. We have pushed our session back to 8pm to allow for the time difference between Sydney and Manhattan and so you can eat before the session if you wish, or feel free to eat, nibble, drink and be merry during our catch up.
We’ll have our usual social catch up for the first 15 minutes or so, then move onto PB’s discussion.
We will have a door prize - a gift voucher from Leaders in Heels for $100 thanks to PMI Sydney Chapter’s sponsorship.
We look forward to seeing you online! Zoom details will be included closer to the event.

Women in Projects Special Event
What we'll Do
We are excited to announce a Women in Projects Australia Special Event!
We recognise that many of our network have been impacted with COVID-19 and find themselves looking for a role in these uncertain times. We have found an excellent resource through our network to assist those of us that are looking for a new role at the moment.
“GuideMe is a phenomenal resource for anyone seeking expert guidance on their career, job search and transition to employment. GuideMe is a resource rich site for anyone seeking a new career or career path.
We help you understand how organisations look for talent, how to find your first, next or transition role. As a result, you will discover what employers look for and how to respond effectively and successfully.
GuideMe has resources and services to assist you in making you more likely to get noticed resulting in finding ways to personalise a process that has most recently left many in the “no-man’s land” of trying to help themselves and not knowing how to.”
Denise will talk to us about her platform, guideme.net.au and how to make the most of the website.
What to bring: Note taking tools.
Zoom details are only available at least 1 hour prior to the event. See you online!

During Covid-19 restrictions the meeting venue limits attendance to a maximum of 14 people. After careful consideration, the PMI Toastmasters Club will limit the maximum number of visitors to 4 per meeting in a face-to-face meeting. However, PMI TM is happy to announce that we will offer hybrid meetings from 5 August 2020 onwards. If you wish to join our meeting via Zoom, there will be no limit to the number of attendees.
Please note that all visitors must email vppr@pmisydneytoastmasters.org or RSVP the event directly on Meetup before each meeting. We can then arrange your attendance in face-to-face meetings or invite you to join the meetings via Zoom to comply with Covid-19 policies. We thank you for your understanding. Updates about the changes in our club policies amid Covid-19 will be posted when available on our website: https://www.pmisydneytoastmasters.org/

Details
We are looking forward to welcoming our next guest speaker Elise Stevens to discuss finding a Mentor, finding a Sponsor, and her new book ‘Unlocking the Opportunity’.
Elise works with women in project management roles to reinforce within themselves their true VALUE to their team, company, and industry. Elise provides a channel for women’s voices to be HEARD, SUPPORTED and EMBRACED in project management with my podcast series, personal training, digital courses and workshops.
It’s time for women to AIM HIGH in the industry, and to know that they can absolutely achieve their career goals!
Elise works with incredible women who have extensive knowledge, skills and passion for their career, but unfortunately, the high pressure and status quo within the workplace has left them feeling emotionally exhausted; they have lost confidence in their own hard-earned skills, and are considering leaving their roles.
For over two decades, Elise has worked closely with project managers to positively impact and innovate effective management processes. Elise has collaborated with a range of organisations including Queensland Urban Utilities, Ipswich City Council, Coca-Cola Amatil, Hutchinson Telecoms and Ansett Australia.
Elise is here to RE-IGNITE the passion and satisfaction that you once had for your career, and to re-connect your team members for true CONFIDENCE in the workplace. https://elisestevens.co/
