About the presenter:
Holger de Groot
National Director of BIM at HDR, and Board Member at buildingSMART Australasia
Holger re-joined HDR in 2017 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in Building Information Management, Project Management, and Healthcare Design to the Design Technology Leadership Team. As National Director of BIM for the Australian region, his role is to supervise and guide Digital Practice Leaders at HDR. He is responsible for implementing and advising leadership on the corporate BIM Strategy, interacting with various disciplines, and advising on BIM matters at all levels.
Holger is also a Sessional Lecturer at the University of NSW, Board Member at buildingSMART Australasia, a member of the Australian Institute of Architects, registered with the Chamber of Architects of Lower Saxony in Germany, certified BIM Manager with BIMcreds, and a sought-after author and conference speaker. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Auckland (New Zealand) and has also studied at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover (Germany).
