This two x 3 hour evening course prepares you for the PBA® examination and helps you focus your limited study time.  The Professional Business Analyst (PBA®) certification is recognised as a milestone achievement in the career of the business analyst.

PMI-PBA® credential holders use their disciplined analytical skills to elicit needs, manage  requirements, assess risk, explore complexity, specify change, engage stakeholders, and deliver effective communications.  PBAs successfully identify and plan for scope and define Agile project backlogs (features) for the success of a program or project.

Prerequisites for Exam Access and Certification

ATQF certificate II or above, diploma, or

7,500 hours of business analysis experience

2,000 hours working on project teams*

35 contact hours of education in business analysis

OR

Bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent

4,500 hours of business analysis experience

2,000 hours working on project teams*

35 contact hours of education in business analysis

* Project experience can include your business analysis experience. A current PMP® or PgMP® will satisfy this requirement, but is not required for the PMI-PBA.

All participants receive course material during the course as a reference which can be used for examination preparation.  There is also the opportunity to form study groups with other participants.

PMI-PBA® Course Content

The PMI-PBA® exam preparation course focuses on the five domains and the skills required to be successful at the examination on the first attempt:

• needs assessment
• planning
• analysis
• traceability and monitoring
• evaluation

Exam Centres and Further Information

The certification exam has 200 multiple-choice questions and you have four hours to complete it.

To maintain your PMI-PBA, you must earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) in business analysis topics every three years.  This course qualifies for PDUs.
