Kick off Event
MENTORS must use this form to Register for the Mentorinng Kick Off Event for Intake 2, 2019.
Participation in the mentoring program and Registration for the Kick Off Event is FREE for Mentors in appreciation of their time and effort assisting mentees achieve their professional and career goals.
We trust that by the end of the Mentoring Intake, mentors and mentees will have a greater appreciation of the benefits of mentoring:
- The basics of mentoring, how to be an effective mentor/mentee and how to derive the greatest benefit from your mentoring relationship
- A clearer insight into your professional objectives, and an increased self-awareness of your own personal leadership style
- How to manage and drive the mentoring relationship and the responsibilities of both mentors and mentees
- Recognising the key skills you will need in a mentoring relationship
- Appreciate the importance of planning and what an effective mentoring meeting looks like
- Be alert to the things that can go wrong in mentoring relationships and how to avoid them

1. Lodge your Mentor Application |
Firstly, lodge your on-line Mentor Application to participate in the Mentoring Program. This allow us to best match mentors and mentees. It provides details of your interests and availability. |

2. Register for the Kick Off event |
Secondly, register for the event kick-off event at the bottom of this page. This enrols you in this particular intake. Should you have any questions please email mentoring_team@pmisydney.org. Please complete both forms as soon as possible, and in any case by 20 August 2019 to be included in the program. |

3. Attend the KICK-OFF meeting |
Attendance is mandatory, as it's the first opportunity to meet with your mentee. Kick-Off meeting: Tuesday 3 September 2019, commencing 6:00pm sharp. Location: The York Conference and Function Centre, Level 2, 95-99 York St, Sydney NSW 2000 If you cannot attend – it is important that you advise us ASAP! |
