This 2 day fundamentals workshop provides an overview of project management, using the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide). 

Participants will understand best practice principles, however more importantly, they will be given the opportunity to apply them to projects in class, making the learning process easy to implement when they return to work.

Who should attend?

Anyone involved in projects, including new and aspiring project managers, project coordinators, team members and stakeholders.

Content:

  • Upon completion of this highly interactive workshop, using real case studies and projects, participants will be able to: 
  • Understand the project environment in order to increase the likelihood of success, while reducing the risks 
  • Align existing knowledge and intuition with best practice techniques and modify them to suit the scale of the project 
  • Scope and thoroughly plan the project while considering cost, time and resource constraints 
  • Build a strategy for team and stakeholder communication and commitment 
  • Control and monitor projects during the implementation phase using proven methods 
  • Capture key lessons learned and apply these to future projects
