Kick off Event
MENTEES must use this form to Register for the Mentoring Kick Off Event.
We trust that by the end of the Mentoring Intake, mentors and mentees will have a greater appreciation of the benefits of mentoring:
- The basics of mentoring, how to be an effective mentor/mentee and how to derive the greatest benefit from your mentoring relationship
- A clearer insight into your professional objectives, and an increased self-awareness of your own personal leadership style
- How to manage and drive the mentoring relationship and the responsibilities of both mentors and mentees
- Recognising the key skills you will need in a mentoring relationship
- Appreciate the importance of planning and what an effective mentoring meeting looks like
- Be alert to the things that can go wrong in mentoring relationships and how to avoid them

1. Lodge your Application |
Firstly, lodge your on-line MENTEE Application to participate in the Mentoring Program. This allow us to best match mentors and mentees. It provides details of your interests and availability. Should you have any questions please email mentoring_team@pmisydney.org. |

2. Register for the Kick-Off Event and Pay the Registration Fee |
Secondly, when you have lodged your on-line applcation, use this event registration form to register for the program, which also enrols you in the Kick Off event. Enter your details and pay the registration fee. |

3. Attend the KICK-OFF meeting |
Attendance is mandatory as it's your first opportunity to meet with your mentor. Kick-Off meeting: Tuesday 3 September 2019, commencing 6:00pm sharp. Location: The York Conference and Function Centre, Level 2, 95-99 York St, Sydney NSW 2000 If you cannot attend – it is important that you advise us ASAP! |
Cost:
The MENTEE registration fee must be paid prior to the Kick-Off meeting. This fee covers the cost of access to the PMI Sydney mentoring management program and all associated training and support resources.
Resources include all training webinars, templates, papers, guides as developed by PMI Sydney's specialist training partner. Support includes management support from the PMI Sydney Chapter mentoring team throughout the term of the Intake.
Should we be unable to find a suitable match your registration fee will be refunded.
