CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEERS DAY (IVD) at PMI Sydney Chapter

PMI Sydney Chapter proudly supports International Volunteer Day (IVD), and to celebrate our volunteers at PMI Sydney Chapter, we have organised a special private event on Saturday, 18th November 2023.

Join us for the next Volunteer Appreciation Event, "Team Dynamics: Connect, Communicate, Succeed", in celebration of International Volunteers Day 2023!

Our distinguished guest, Dr. Elyssebeth Leigh, a renowned educator with international experience, will lead us through an engaging session on 'Team Dynamics'. This session will be a taster; that will help inform and foster good communication between teams. Through hands-on activities, you'll gain practical insights to enhance your impact in both volunteer and professional roles 🌟🌐.

This session will provide an introduction to two concepts that help to inform and build good communication when building team relationships.
a) The Belbin Team Role Preferences
b) The Cynefin framework
These concepts will be played out as part of two interactive games chosen to illustrate teamwork principles in action.

Dr. Elyssebeth Leigh is a professional educator and has provided simulation-based educational programs in many countries. She has published numerous books and articles on educational uses of simulation. Overtime her career has shifted from Practitioner to Researcher. She has designed simulations of complex adaptive systems, and is currently exploring the skills, attitudes and knowledge required for effective application of adult learning principles and constructivist approaches to academic education. She is on the Board of Simulation Australasia and a Visiting Academic at University of Technology, Sydney. 

The morning will involve:
